Local Law 11 98 Facade Inspection

Local Law 11/98, which is also known as the Facade Inspection and Safety Program (FISP), is a law implemented by New York City that requires the city to inspect its building facades for safety purposes. According to this law, all buildings of six stories and above are subject to a mandatory facade inspection every five years. The program seeks to identify the possible hazards from loose masonry, cracks, or deterioration of the facade.
